THE Kevin Nimick Ball! Thurs. Sept. 22nd @ The Woods

Thursday, Sept. 22nd THE Kevin Nimick Ball will be taking place at The Woods in SW Portland from 7:00-11:30. An epic local line up is set to hit the stage in honor of raising funds for Kevin:

"Kevin Nimick was diagnosed with testicular cancer this year, and after having one of the testicles lopped off, he was tested again only to find there is still some cancer that remains. Which means more treatment. Chemotherapy being a large chunk. Since Kevin is an american, with crappy american insurance, he has been saddled with a huge debt that appears insurmountable at this juncture of his life. There are many people that love kevin dearly, and when you love someone, you help them however you can. We are setting up a cancer awareness fund/ and donation for Kevin. All bands and artists are coming together to help someone. This is purely for the help of a wonderful part of the Portland community. What better reason to get together, than to kick the shit out of something bad in someone that is so bottomlessly wonderful."- The Woods. Get your tickets for this harmoneous event here!


Also if you can't make it to the BALL....on Sunday September 25th 2011 6-10pm Together Gallery on 29th & Alberta will be hosting a special gallery event where proceeds will be donated to help cure Kevin's cancer.

The show will host lots of smaller, reasonably priced pieces based on the theme of "Midnight Adventures" from a rather large group of artists. Gallery owner Tim Karpinski will be curating / corralling all Kev's artsy peers

Plans are also in place to have a band play at 9pm there as well. Good beer & baked goods will also be available!
