EXIT real world skate team interview: Steven Farmer
First and last name?Steven Farmer.
Age?
18.
Where you were born, city and state?
Portland, Oregon.
Where you are currently living, city and state?
Been staying all over southern California lately like Los Angeles, Encinitas, Huntington Beach, and San Diego, California.
How long you've been skateboarding?
I remember skating to school a few times in the 4th grade in Portland. So I was about 8 or 9, but I'd say 9 years.
Who do you get stuff from?
Zero skateboards, Fallen footwear, Altamont apparel, Guayaki Yerba Mate Tea, and Exit Real World.
Board set up:
Deck: Zero 8.25
Griptape: Mob Mystery grip
Trucks: Independent 149's
Wheels: Zero black & white swirly joints
Bearings: Zero black widow
Hardware: allen head bolts
What shoe brand do you prefer and what shoe model?
The Fallen Trooper SL has been my favorite shoe for years now and since Chris Cole just switched to DC I'm pretty bummed it will eventually be discontinued, but I'm down for any cupsole Fallen has out.

How many days per week do you skate?
I skate everyday, got no worries down here except for hustling to get gas money for my motorcycle and a place to sleep. Im really happy down here but my body has accumilated a lot of little injuries and I can't catch a break to heal so I'm really looking forward to come back to Oregon and chill for a bit. I'm really gonna miss it here when I do go back north though.
Where's the usual warm up spot?
It's been so many different spots lately, I really enjoy warming up at Stoner Plaza if I happen to be in the L.A. area or the new Blackbox park if I'm in San Diego county.
Who do you usually skate with?
Haha so many homies... Derek Elmendorf, Ben Eisenberg, Elliot Murphy, Ian Stribling, Greg Zamarripa, Ben Fordham, Chris gregson, Colton Mathews, Phil Blair, Nick Knisel, J.T. Rhoades, Chris Cole, Jamie Thomas, NS Krue, Alec Beck, Sebo Walker, Justin Cefai, Trevor Sullivan, Sam Hubble, Tyler Kindred, Trevor Ward, Matt Hanson, Sean Conover and most of all myself.
What projects are you working on? videos, contests, interviews, school, etc?
I'm in Huntington Beach, CA. right now filming with Colton Mathews from Portland for his new video coming soon, I've been mostly focusing on getting footage for the next Exit Real World video, and also have been working on getting some clips in Cold War which is the next Zero video and basically just thriving to stay happy.
What do you do when you're not skateboarding?
I ride my motorcycle wherever go, usually with all my belongings strapped to the back. I love to chill explore whenever I get the chance and sometimes hit up the beach and swim whenever I get the chance. I've been looking for a job for about 6 months and have had a couple opportunities but they didn't work out so I can't really do much but chill or skate.
