The women's Manteca got called up for snow shred duty, and after some re-engineering the women's Phase was born. DC built the upper out of synthetic leather, and used water resistant mesh panels to reduce the boot's overall weight.  The tongue and calf areas have padded neoprene to provide comfortable movement, while a non-slip foot bed inside the women's Phase helps secure the Basic Liner in place.  The cup sole, which in about 10% lighter than a typical out sole, is made of abrasion-resistant sticky rubber, and the multi-tone bottom has DC's trademarked "pill" pattern.  The Phase's functional sole design grants great traction and grip in the snow.
