For 2006 DC has developed an entirely new boot for the all mountain rider. The Allegiance. The Allegiance is the first boot from DC to feature the BOA FOCUS SYSTEM. This is a unique technology with 2 zones for tightening, evenly distributing pressure on both the lower and upper of the boot, not just the upper as in typical boot construction. This also has DC's newest out sole, the injection EVA out sole. It's approximately 40 percent lighter than other out soles. We've taken cues from our skateboard shoe line by incorporating DGT (dynamic grip technology) and CTR (cold temperature rubber) in the most significant areas of the sole, creating a podular design that allows for better grip a durability. The Allegiance also has DC's 3D tongue for comfort, internal ankle brace for support, an articulated upper cuff for effortless and instant boot break-in, and the Recco avalanche rescue system.
Performance Features:
- Recco Avalanche Rescue System
- Lateral support beam
- Focus BOA system
- Injection EVA mid sole
Liner Features:
- Air: Inflatable air bladder and air release valve provide custom fit and ankle protection
- Heat: Liner insoles fitted for disposable, air activated foot warmers
- Toe Gel: Silicone gel pad cushions your toes from those hard landings
This boot has a flex rating of 16 (a rating of 1 is the softest while 18 is the stiffest)
