Nick Peterson, welcome to the team!

When I caught up with some of the EXIT team in Lincoln City a few weeks ago, the crew was skating Lincoln City skatepark.  They had been touring, camping, skating parks and finding street spots along the incredible Oregon Coast.  It is refreshing for me to see these amazingly talented street skaters having such fun skating the tranny park.  We all know that most of these guys are more interested in venturing out for street spots, but they are skateboarders 100% and they are in it for the fun.  And there is no denying that fun can be had at any skatepark, especially when you're at Oregon's largest (LC) the fun can last for days even for a street pirate.

Carlos Hernandez and Kelly Blum brought along Nick Peterson who was annihilating every feature in the place with a smile on his face all while skating nonstop with sweat flying and red forcefield around him.  Jakob Steinfurth shot clips.  Matt Hansen and Eric Wall (TM) had both mentioned Nick and said that we should add Nick to the team right away and after seeing him skate and hanging out with him for a bit, I couldn't have agreed more.  He seemes to really mesh with the rest of the crew and has agreed to get on team EXIT!  So, we're stoked to be featuring his rippingness from here on out.

After skating at the park most of the day, Hansen lead us over to a nearby school gap, but a distraught teacher came over and threatened to call the police on us, so we just left for the next spot without causing a fuss.  Oregon's skate ambassador, and EXIT team rider, Matt Hansen then took us to an awesome rock wallie spot at the autoparts store.  It was right on the highway and ironically was not a bust at all.  At one point I was in the bushes about to climb up on a sign to get a photo angle when a police officer pulled up.  I just stood there in the bushes continuing to frame a shot and he nicely asked, "Are you getting some good shots?"  I talked with him for a minute and he said that it was fine to keep skating there and that the owner of the store didn't mind as long as nothing was moved around.  It was the best experience I had with a cop and skateboarding ever.  He seemed to be there just because he was curious and wanting to welcome skateboarders to Lincoln City.
