Take us all back to your slam when you ruptured your spleen or whatever it was. What happened that day?
We ended up at Tum Yeto that day, and that spot is right across the street. I mentioned to my friend, Chris, I wanted to try a 180, so I went over there to check it out, and said I'll give it a go. Bart set up his stuff, my friend Tom set up his camera stuff, I gave it a few good shots, stuck a few, then on the last try a security guard came out. He asked me to leave, and I asked him for one more try. He didn't speak much English, but he told me I could get only one more. As I was walking backwards to get the speed I needed, he put his hands on my back and started pushing me towards the set. I told him, "I thought you said one more try?" He didn't say anything, and just kept pushing me towards the set. Before I could even think, I just said "Fuck it" and tried with the speed I could get from there. Realizing that wasn't the right speed, I freaked out, and ended up gutting myself on the railing.
After you slammed what was going on in your head? Did you know something severe had happened?
First thought was I knocked the wind out of myself. Then, after lying there for a few minutes and trying to get up, I couldn't stand up straight, and knew something was wrong.
When you went to the hospital what did the doctors say?
They did X-Rays, which showed I didn't break any ribs, and then they did Cat Scans. The Cat Scans results came and they told me they needed all my immediate families contact info. I basically ruptured or smashed a good amount of the vital organs in my abdomen. I think when it came down to it, they told my parents, at the beginning; there is a chance that I wasn't going to make it.
How long were you in the hospital for?
I spent 5 weeks in and out of about 7 or 8 surgeries.
What got you through that length of time in a hospital?
I don't remember much from the first 2 weeks, but my mom, a lot of TV, and support got me through it.
Now are you fully recovered or do you still have some set backs from that fall?
Nope, they told me once I gained the weight back, and the scabs healed, that I was good to go.

You recently made the switch from Foundation to Creature. What differences have you seen over at Creature?
I enjoyed riding for the F Co., and being a part of that was great, but I feel like Creature is my home. Most of the guys that ride for Creature live in San Diego, and being able to skate with them is the best.
Do you have to ride green painted boards or do you have a choice?
I'll ride anything. Almost everything they make is green, and I'm more than happy to ride a green board!
Is there a video in the works?
There is, it's called "Hesh Law". From what the trailers/promo's tell me, it'll be out whenever it's finished, haha.
What’s a typical day for you usually consist of?
Getting some coffee and breakfast, hanging' out with my girlfriend and friends, usually waiting for Jimmy (Carlin), then just skating anything we can.
Who do you usually skate with when you’re at home?
Anybody that wants to, usually ends up being my roommate Cameron, Jimmy Carlin, Jordan or Logy Taylor, my friend Ian "Poods" Barry, and maybe Chris (Troy) will make an appearance.

Have you ever been up to Oregon?
I haven't.
How many times do you go back to Florida to see your family throughout the year? Didn’t you have a girlfriend out there for a bit? Is that still going on?
I go to Florida about 3 or 4 times a year. I had a girlfriend out there last year, around the time of the accident, but we went our separate ways.
If you aren’t skateboarding what can we expect you to be doing?
Watching a lot of movies or TV shows, drinking some beers, and just hanging out with my friends.
What are your plans for the rest of the year?
Try to finish up "Hesh Law", try to shoot some photos, have fun, and skate faster.
